  • European dates being released

    July 22, 2010

Hey all - we're exceptionally excited to be heading back over the Atlantic this fall to tour for TWO WHOLE MONTHS in Europe!

Our amazing booking agents (hi Karen, Bob, Claire and Andrea) are doing a great job over there getting us really cool shows, and our schedule (so far) has been updated on our shows page.

We'll be back in the UK at the end of October - and those dates will be updated shortly.

Wow - this is super cool.

Also, look out for our Podcast!  We're going to be doing a monthly (maybe more if we can swing it) Podcast!  It will be absoultely hilarious.

  • Great giggin' all weekend

    July 21, 2010

Wow, we played 5 shows in 4 days.

A great time on Saltrspring Island where we played to a picnic-style audience lying around in the lawn at the gorgeous ArtSpring centre.  It was really awesome to have so many families come out and listen to us - we really love playing the gulf islands.  Bill Henderson and Valdy came out, too!  Canadian music royalty out checking us out.  Love it.

Following that we hustled to Victoria for a really nice, intimate night at the Norway House with our good pal Oliver Swain.  You can check his amazing band Outlaw Social out here.

The next night - a wedding for a lovely couple (hi Joe and Brydie!) and their great wedding guests in a beautiful backyard in Victoria.  Lots of great singing and playing, a nice email from the neighbours who enjoyed our set from beyond the fence, and a brief sleep before heading back to the mainland Sunday morning.

Sunday we played TWO gigs.  Sunday afternoon at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver to a great crowd - highlighted by a 90-or-so year old couple two-stepping themselves around the dance floor to our tunes.

Late Sunday we shipped out to Surrey to play the fabulous and realllly cool Surrey Fusion Festival.  30,000 people came through the gates on Sunday alone and it was a treat to listen to salsa music, banghara, bluegrass, our good pals Blackberry Wood - and lots more.  Wow, we're tired.
